Clem Stephenson scored a hat-trick to help Villa to a fourth win in six as Villa bounce back from their controversial defeat at White Hart Lane to record their biggest League win of the season as Manchester United are hammered at Villa Park.
A brace of assists apiece from George Tranter and debutant Walter Watson and two goals from Charlie Wallace round off an excellent win as Villa keep their first clean sheet in thirteen games and their 9th in 36 games.
Villa make it fourteen wins, seven draws and twelve defeats in thirty three division one games so far this season.
Villa move back to outright sixth in the table with five games of 1911-12 left to play.
Goalkeeper Len Richards and winger Walter Watson make their Villa debuts aged 19 and 21 after joining from Stourbridge FC and Worksop Town in March 1911 and 1912 respectively.
Richards, an amateur from Bilston who has been playing in the Birmingham League with Stourbridge, is handed a first team trial alongside Watson who had proved so impressive this season in the reserves.
