Horace Henshall

Horace was born in Hednesford on 14th June 1889 and made his debut appearance for Villa at the age of 21 on the 10th December 1910.
Villa had signed Horace from Bridgetown Amateurs in May 1906.
Horace had to wait to play his first senior game until December 1910 - debuting in a 3-1 win over Notts County - the club he would eventually be sold to.
After his playing career ended he also served as manager of Notts County for seven years.
During his time with Villa Horace contributed to a runners up finish in 1910-11.
Horace played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
Horace passed away in Hednesford on 7th December 1951 aged 62.
