Villa win for the fourth time in five as they record their biggest win of the season to date to make it nine wins, three draws and seven defeats in nineteen division one games.

Meanwhile, midfielder George Hunter made his final appearance for Villa aged 26 before moving on to opposition side Oldham Athletic for a fee of £1,200 in January 1912. Hunter had made 98 appearances and scored once since his debut in September 1908.
