Jack Kearns

Jack was born in Nuneaton in April 1880 and made his debut appearance for Villa at the age of 28 on the 27th February 1909.

Villa had signed Jack from Birmingham in February 1909 and during his time with Villa Jack finally attained success by winning the 1909-10 League title.

Jack followed up the league success with 2nd place and in his time with Villa never finished below 7th in the table.

Jack’s final game for Villa came at the age of 31 on 6th January 1912 after which Jack moved on to Bristol City.

Jack played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.

Jack passed away in Walsall in 1949 aged 68.
