Walter Watson
Player #234 for Aston Villa, Walter Watson, played as a winger for the club in the outside right position.
Walter played for Villa in the 1911-12 season making 3 appearances for the club.
Walter was born in Sheffield in November 1890 and made his debut appearance for Villa at the age of 21 on the 30th March 1912.
Villa had signed Walter from Worksop Town in March 1912 and he immediately made his first team bow.
However his early selection was not to presage a long Villa career, indeed Walter appeared for Villa on only 2 more occasions with his final appearance coming on 6th April 1912, just 7 days after his debut.
Walter subsequently moved on to Rotherham Town in July 1913 meaning in a 14 month career with Villa his first 4 weeks contained all his on pitch contributions.
Walter played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
Walter passed away in 1956 aged 66.
