Alfred was born in Coventry in April 1890 and made his debut appearance for Villa at the age of 21 on the 7th October 1911.
Villa had signed Alfred from Stourbridge FC in April 1910.
Alfredโs final game for Villa came on 3rd February 1912 and he moved on to Dudley Town in August 1912.
Alfred played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
Alfred was killed in action in October 1918 during WW1 aged just 28.
