Villa fans think otherwise as Docherty disappoints once again and is met with slow handclaps.
Tommy Docherty's Villa open the season with a home defeat to Norwich as midfielder Bruce Rioch, 21, Chico Hamilton, 19, and Pat McMahon, 23, made their debuts after respectively joining from Luton Town for ยฃ100,000 in July 1969, ยฃ40,000 from Southend United in June 1969 and from Celtic in June 1969.
