Villa lose against the team they had beaten in the FA Cup semi final a week previously.
Before this unexpected run Villa had lost just three of their previous 24 games, winning 14.
The game however is overshadowed by an early tackle on Harold Edgley that breaks his leg and ends his Villa career.
Villa make it fourteen wins, five draws and fourteen defeats in their thirty three division one games this season.
Winger Harold Edgley makes his final Villa appearance aged 28 before moving on to QPR in August 1920. Edgley had played for Villa between 1911-12 and 1919-20 making 85 appearances and scoring 17 goals.
