Walter Boyman

Walter played for Villa between 1919-20 and 1921-22 making 24 appearances.
Walter was born in Richmond on 10th August 1891 and he made his debut appearance for Villa on the 18th October 1919 aged 28.
Villa had signed Walter from Cradley Heath St Lukeโs in August 1919.
Walter made all his appearances for Villa in the League making 10 appearances in each of his first 2 seasons.
Walterโs most prolific season in front of goal was his first 1919-20, hitting nearly a goal a game, including a hat-trick away at Middlesbrough in Villaโs 4-1 victory.
Walter played his last game for Villa on 22nd October 1921 aged 30, almost 2 years to the day since his debut following which he moved on to Nottingham Forest.
Walter played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
Walter passed away in 1970 aged 79.
