Villa lose for only the fifth time in eighteen in 1936 under the management committee structure having lost fourteen in twenty three in the first four of the season.

Overall Villa make it thirteen wins, nine draws and nineteen defeats in forty one games in 1935-36.

Villa now have three clean sheets in their last 48 games.

As many of the games in hand have played out Villa fall to joint 18th on 35 points, level with Albion, Everton and Wolves but are categorised 21st on goals.

Up next is bottom side Blackburn who have two games remaining to Villa's one. Wolves have three games to play, Albion and Everton two.

The poor fixture management of the League hardly helps a lopsided look of the table but simply Villa have to beat Blackburn at Villa Park and hope that at least one of their relegation rivals fail to pick up two points across their remaining games.
