Villa lose for the fifth time in six games as they end 1935 in desperate straits having recorded five wins, four draws and fourteen defeats in twenty three games whilst conceding seventy four.
Meanwhile, forward Bob Brocklebank, 27, made the last of his twenty appearances for Villa across seven seasons with the club during which time he scored twice before moving on to Burnley in March 1936.
Villa now have a single clean sheet in 29 games.
