Tommy Cummings' Villa make it three unbeaten and fifteen wins, seven draws and eighteen defeats in forty League games this season.
Meanwhile, winger Johnny MacLeod made his final appearance for Villa at the age of 29 before moving to KV Mechelen of Belgium in July. MacLeod played for Villa between 1964-65 and 1967-68 making 140 appearances and scoring 18 goals.
