Bobby Park

Player #512 for Aston Villa, Robert Clydesdale Park, known as Bobby Park, played as a midfielder for the club.

Bobby played for Villa between 1964-65 and 1968-69 making 85 appearances and scoring 10 goals.

Bobby was born in Edinburgh on 3 July 1946 and made his debut appearance for Villa on Saturday, 19 September 1964 aged just 18.

Villa had signed Bobby from Darlington Wool Firms FC on 1 July 1963.

Bobby was mainly used as a back up to the first team as Villa spent 3 seasons in the bottom 6 of Division One before inevitably succumbing to relegation to the second division in the 1967-68 season.

During that second tier season, Bobby was a more regular first team presence - making 29 appearances including 4 as substitute - however the following Division Two season Bobby made just 9 appearances - 5 as substitute - playing his final game for the club on Saturday, 1 February 1969, still aged just 22 before moving on to Wrexham on 1 May 1969.

Bobby had played under Villa managers Dick Taylor, Tommy Cummings and Tommy Docherty.
