Villa bounce back from their cruel defeat at Hyde Road - their first loss in six games - to beat Liverpool in a nine goal thriller at Anfield.
Four nil up in 28 minutes Villa go into the break 5-1 ahead before a mini revival from the home team sees them score twice before Harold Edgley grabs his second of the game and Villa's 6th to leave Anfield with bot points.
Villa make it seven wins, three draws and four defeats in fourteen division one games so far in 1914-15.
Villa remain joint 6th.
