Villa dominate at Goodison from the off but fall behind to a first half pen before great a great piece of individual play from Billy Kirton bags the equaliser early in the second half.
Villa continue with their domination even after 'keeper Hardy retires injured and Andy Ducat is forced to keep goal.
Incredibly not only is this the second successive game in which Villa are reduced in numbers due to injury but it is now the seventh time in their last 20 games that Villa have been unable to compete in a match with a full complement of players.
Villa though manage a creditable draw and stop a run of seven losses in ten League games to make it ten wins, five draws and ten defeats in twenty five division one games.
