Meanwhile, midfielder Rowland Codling made his Villa debut aged 26 after joining from Clapton Orient earlier this month alongside Bert Kingaby and winger George Garratt made his seventeenth and final appearance for Villa aged 21 before moving on to Southampton in September 1906.
