Player #185 for Aston Villa, John William Boden, played as a centre half for the club.
John represented Villa in the 1905-06 and 1906-07 seasons.
John was born in Northwich in 1882 and made his debut for the club as a 24 year old on the 24th February 1906 in the FA Cup 3rd Round.
John went on to make 18 appearances over his two seasons with the club.
Villa had signed John from Clapton Orient that same month.
Johnโs final game for Villa came on 20th October 1906 after which he was sold to Northwich Victoria in August 1907.
John played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.
John passed away in Northwich on 19th March 1946 aged 64.
