Right back Earl Barrett, 24, makes his Villa debut after joining from Oldham Athletic earlier this month for a fee of ยฃ1,700,000 to become the 687th player to play for Villa in first team League or Cup football.
Goalkeeper Les Sealey makes his 24th and final appearance in a Villa shirt before returning to Manchester United on a free transfer in January 1993. Sealey,. one of the least likeable individuals to ever wear a Villa shirt, left with a record of W12 D3 L9, 27 Goals Conceded and 9 Clean Sheets at a goal conceded per game rate of 1.13 and a clean sheet rate of 38%. Sealeyโs departure was not mourned.

STEVE McMahon set up City's sixth successive home win. While McMahon was the inspiration, City owe a huge debt to their saviour, goalkeeper Tony Coton.
Keith Curie and debutant David Brightwell also played their part in shutting out Villa's attack.
But it was Villa who were on the defensive at the start, and Paul McGrath had to pull off three last-ditch tackles
But it couldn't last and McMahon found a gap with a through ball to Niall Quinn who volleyed in his first goal since Boxing Day.
City clinched the points in the 75th minute after yet another McMahon pass from his own half released David White to shoot past Les Sealey.
