MATCHDAY QUOTES
“It’s a mystery why we are suddenly letting in so many goals.
“Les Sealey has been playing well and he made some good saves at Oldham on Saturday
“But when you concede seven goals in two games you wonder about swinging things back the other way.
“We might think about that.
“When Dariusz [Kubicki] came over he so bright and lively.
“But in recent weeks he has been very subdued.
“This has obviously been playing on his mind.”
“It was as well as we have played all season.
“At 2-2 I thought we would win it because we took the game to them
“Maybe we should have closed it up for a draw but I really felt we could win
“I would be happy if we played with that sort of drive in every match"
Ron Atkinson.

OLDHAM twice came from behind to snatch the points In a five-goal thriller against high-flying Aston Villa at Boundary Park yesterday.
The visitors took the lead after just 10 minutes when Blake volleyed home superbly from 25 yards.
But Oldham were back on level terms with a Sharp penalty on 34 minutes.
Villa again showed superb attacking aggression to go back in the lead on 58 minutes with a clever strike from Regis.
Their joy was shortlived, however, as Oldham came back to level again when veteran striker Palmer headed in from close range.
Both sides provided plenty of entertainment but it was Oldham who snatched victory eight minutes from the end when Sharp, a £500,000 preseason signing from Everton, grabbed the winner to become Oldham's leading scorer with seven goals.
