John Fashanu started the Dons' celebration party in the 24th minute when he tucked Paul Miller's cross home from just a yard. And Terry Phelan made sure of a Dons day to remember with a superb second after Warren Barton had won the ball in his own box and set Miller free down the right. He rolled the ball to Robbie Earle who in turn found Phelan and the full-back swept his shot past Les Sealey for his first of the season.
