BURNLEY v. ASTON VILLA.
HEAVY SCORING.
This game, the return between these teams, was played on the Turf Moor ground, Burnley, before 8,000 spectators. Neither side was fully represented. The scoring was heavy, but in the end Aston Villa were the winners four goals to three, thus bagging a double win over tho Lancastrians.
The home sides were at once pressed back and the Villa scored from a corner.
In the next minute Place, junior, dropped the ball in and the attention Wilkes knocked him and the ball through the goal.
Taylor was injured and the game was stopped. The Villa got ahead again through Crabtree, and Nichol again made the score equal.
Burnley got to the front through Place, junior, but Reynolds for the Villa scored from a free kick and at the game stood three all.
