MATCH QUOTES

"To tell something about that is when he [Emiliano Martínez] is being successful individually and collectively with his club at Aston Villa and with his national team. Being successful with Argentina, he is progressively getting better with Aston Villa. "He is saving a lot of matches as a goalkeeper - of course, he is one of the best. The first, second, third? For me, he is the best. On the ridiculous behaviour from referee Ivan Kružliak on Thursday night: "Yes, I didn’t know this rule. Quickly, they told me about this rule and now, of course it is very important for us. It was strange because it is not a normal situation. "It is not a surprise [Morgan Rogers’ form] because when we analysed him playing in Middlesbrough and we decided to sign him, it’s because we watched his characteristics as a player. There is still a lot of work to do with him. Every player starts somewhere, League One, League Two, Championship, Premier League. It’s always a process with younger players. "He was at the Manchester City academy and when he progressed, they decided to let him leave and he was progressing in the Championship. Of course, he had and he has shown us his qualities and then in structure, his qualities were perfect to introduce and set in our squad. "Now, for different circumstances, he is playing more than we thought. One reason is because he is playing well and then because Jacob Ramsey, with the same qualities, is injured. "When some players are injured like we had, it’s important to have players ready to play in our tactical ideas. He is learning so quickly and we will need him at the end of the season like he is playing now and even better. "We are focusing in each match and in our moment. The club is working with the possibilities for the next year, how we can improve the squad with players. But, we have now four players who will be new players for us at the beginning for us. Mings, Buendia, Kamara and Ramsey. "Of course, we want to increase our level in the squad, but I am very happy with the players we have and I want to give them chances to play. In different ways this year, every player has an opportunity to play and I want to get the best of them from now until the end of the season. "We are going to play a semi-final and the last five matches in the Premier League trying to get a Champions League position, trying to be demanding with our way in the Europa Conference League, playing for a final. "Bournemouth are playing very well, they are very competitive and they demand a lot if we want to beat them. My first objective is to recover the players who played 120 minutes and the emotion we had yesterday. We need to rest and recover for Sunday. "We will need today evening and tomorrow to rest the players. Bournemouth, really I appreciate the coach and the players. They are pushing, pushing and pushing always. The match like we played there was really difficult. "When I arrived here, my first press conference was the same message I have now. It is to play in Europe, try to be contender for a trophy domestically and in Europe. Always increase our level, getting a better level every day. The club as well is being very demanding and ambitious. "As a coach, with every worker I have around me, always the message is the same. We are in the last month of playing now and we are fighting for a top position in the table." Unai Emery, pre-match. "It’s very happy today because it was such a strong performance. We need to play well to get three points at home in front of our fans. The race for Champions League, it is a good win and chance to get more points. "We know Bournemouth is a good team. A lot of contact, but we had to stay calm to score our first goal. After the second half, we had a really good half, and we scored two goals. "Everyone knows Ollie is very good striker. He helped the team a lot with a lot of goals, a lot of assists. [He had] a good game today and I am happy for him even if he does not score. I am sure he will score in the next game. "Morgan is a good player, he came in January, helped the team. He can play left wing and second striker and today [he had] a strong performance. [He] scored the second goal and I hope he will score more goals." Moussa Diaby. "A very good week, very good week. ”When we arrived here the supporters were waiting for us. They helped us, supported us. "We transmitted their energy on the pitch as well. We shared with them our moment. The three points are very important to get the objective at the end of the season in the league. To be fifth or fourth. "Now, we can be proud of our work and proud of how we are being consistent and trying to fight for fourth position with Tottenham. It will be difficult. "Here against Brentford we didn’t achieve three points and we were disappointed. We used that match to show the players why we didn’t achieve the consistency we have had at home. The reaction was fantastic in Arsenal and it was today too. Again, the players are showing us the commitment to continue being demanding and staying consistent at the end of the season. "We will now rest for two days. This week is only one match against Chelsea. It is very important and after the matches we have played, we need to rest for two days. "Recovery with the players who added a lot of minutes in the game on Thursday. Yesterday we trained quiet. The preparation was more in the hotel. We met yesterday evening and today morning having our meeting with the players and doing videos too. “Of course, the motivation is very important. They can be a little bit tired but the most important thing is to recover and try to get the full energy again in our mind and in our body. When we are playing more or less being comfortable on the pitch, even when we are feeling a little bit tired, we can keep the consistency that we did. “[Ollie Watkins] played fantastic. His first objective is to win as a team and to help in everything we need tactically. In the end, when he scores it is fantastic. Even when he doesn’t score, he plays helping the team being brilliant. “I think he’s adding more things tactically himself to feel comfortable playing as well, scoring goals, assisting and even without those circumstances playing for the team. He plays in the structure we have tactically and his commitment to do the work we always need has been fantastic – more than scoring goals and the assists. “He’s increasing his level and showing us being very demanding in himself how he can increase the level in a lot of things, more than scoring goals. I think I appreciate him and his progress, I think other coaches and in the national team they are of course aware about him, how he’s increasing and how he’s been important for us and for the national team as well. “As a player, he’s fantastic and he deserves it because he’s a really hard-worker every day. Always he wants to work more in the training session, he’s always very demanding, asking things to improve. "We appreciate him [Leon Bailey] a lot here and he is doing a fantastic season with his goals and assists. He is playing with the commitment we needed to increase as well with him. Defensively, being demanding as well. I am very happy with him and that’s why we extended his contract. He deserved it. “We analysed him [Morgan Rogers], his adaptation was easier because his qualities in our squad and structure tactically is really through him easier. He has the skills, he understands how we want to create our structure tactically offensively and defensively. He is showing his capacity, his adaptation is quick and he’s scoring goals like today. He played today imposing as well individually his duels a lot of times with the moment. He’s been fantastic.” Unai Emery, post-match.
