"Everyday when I go to the training ground there is the '82 European Cup [picture]. It's good to have that memory. "This is the history for Aston Villa and it's amazing. Of course we want to write a new history now, doing it our way and hopefully we can do something important here. "Always when I go in my office I am passing this [picture] and I am always watching the trophy. "We play Hibernian and have to play two matches to try and get to the group stage and that is the objective. "I'm so happy about this and want to share my mindset with the players and the supporters because Europe always is something amazing for everybody. "We have our experiences, the players and me as a coach. Playing in Europe always gave me a lot as a coach. In football, I'm so grateful for the possibility to play in Europe like I have. "Now with Aston Villa, I want to share with everybody the experiences and I want to share my competitive way. What I did before, I want to do here. "That is the message to the players and to the supporters. I want to focus on the two matches with Hibernian and enjoy it." Unai Emery pre-match. "It's the most nervous I've been for a game in a long time. I had butterflies today. "It was really strange being in the away changing room. I had a special three years here, it's great to be back but it's a good result for us. "I was at a bit of a crossroads in my career and this club gave me a platform to show what I can do. The supporters took to me very early. "I told the boys 'don't disrespect Hibs'. I told them they'd be surprised and they were surprised first 15 minutes. "It was an important game for Hibs, so I'd rather be treated like an opponent and then I got a nice reception at the end." John McGinn. "We know we really played a high level, and didn't let them play how they usually play. The end result is maybe not deserved, but we deserved to win, and our respect of them is playing how we played. "We know they are very good in the transition. We know they have good long balls and crosses. We tried to keep control with the ball, and we did it. "I am happy, but everything we did was with respect. In this competition, first we have to be in the groups, and second, trying to do something here." Unai Emery, post match. “We need two very good left backs and now we have an injury to Alex Moreno. Lucas Digne, always, we will have the respect of him because he’s very important for us. “And then we were managing with him at the beginning of the season of the possibility (him leaving) maybe, if it was good for him, it was good for the club and we could have in the squad two good left-backs like with him and Alex Moreno. “That could be a possibility. But today, tonight, he’s more closer to staying here than to leave. “Now Alex Moreno is injured, he’s playing consistently.
