FURIOUS Ron Atkinson kept his players locked in the dressing room for an hour-long rollocking after this disappointing defeat. Big Ron may be Alan Shearer's number one admirer - but his players seemed to have joined the fan club too.
That would explain why they all seemed to stand watching in admiration as the Blackburn ace put away the only chance his team had all afternoon.
Shearer struck in the 38th minute with a typically clinical piece of finishing after pouncing on a brilliant run and cutback by Graeme Le Saux.
