JOHN Fashanu continued his rampaging start to the season with his third goal in three games as Wimbledon twice came from behind.
Fashanu rose five minutes from time at the far post to bullet home a typical header from Alan Kimble's cross.
It was a goal he thoroughly deserved after an inspirational performance but Villa threw away two points.
The visitors. without Andy Townsend, took control from the start and missed several chances before taking a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute.
Ray Houghton found Kevin Richardson on the edge of the box. and the midfielder swivelled before shooting low passed Hans Seger.
Wimbledon levelled six minutes before the break, when Dean Holdsworth headed home from close range.
