Bizarrely in the game but unable to score Villa suffer a huge Boxing Day defeat at the Baseball Ground to make it eight wins, four draws and nine defeats in their twenty one division one games.
Midfielder Joe Tate made his Villa debut aged 23 after joining from Cradley Heath for ยฃ400.
Goalkeeper Joe Hickman made his second and final Villa two days after his debut aged 26 having conceded 9 goals in 2 games.
