Joe Hickman
Player #326 for Aston Villa, Joseph Hickman, known as Joe Hickman played as a goalkeeper for the club.
Joe played for Villa in 1927-28 making two appearances.
Joe was born in County Durham in August 1901 and made his debut appearance for Villa on the 24 December 1927 aged 26 and his final appearance just 2 days later.
Villa had signed Joe from Hartlepool United earlier in the month before returning to the club without making a further appearance.
Joe was the 38th custodian of the Villa goal in League and Cup football.
Joe conceded 4 on debut in the 5-4 victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, 24 December 1927 and two days later conceded 5 as Villa fell to a 0-5 away defeat at Derby County.
Joe had played under the Billy Smith led Management Committee.
Joe passed away in 1980 aged 79.
