Villa lose consecutive League games for the first time since December as they suffer a disastrous defeat to third placed and promotion rivals Bury.
It's an unlucky afternoon however, effectively losing midfielder and captain Tom Griffiths to injury after 5' before retiring competely at half time.
Villa stay 5th but are now 4 points off the promotion places with four to play and a return to the top flight looks like it has now passed Jimmy Hogan's side by.
Villa make it twelve wins in the last thirty two second tier games and an overall record of sixteen wins, twelve draws and ten defeats in thirty eight division two matches.
Winger Freddie Goss made his Villa debut after joining from Ilkeston Town in November 1936.
