Villa face refereeing misfortune in the first half before Leicester take an undeserved lead and then suffer a series of injuries debilitating the team before Leicester, who have a player booked, score two late goals.
Villa concede the first goal of the game for the 10th consecutive match and the 15th time in 19 so far in 1936-37.
Alex Massie scores his first of the season but Villa lose consecutive games under Jimmy Hogan and now have just two wins in thirteen second tier games.
Villa make it six wins, eight draws and five defeats in nineteen division two matches.
Right back Jim Robey, 23, made his third and final appearance for Villa before moving on to Aberdeen in February 1938
Forward Gordon Hodgson, 32, made the last of his 28 appearances during which time he scored eleven goals before moving on to Leeds United in March 1937.
