Joe Bache scores a brace, Billy Brawn creates a brace and Albert Hall scores one and makes one to help Villa hammer Leicester in the FA Cup but referee Kingscott raises eyebrows for a penalty that wasn't and a caution for Harry Hampton but no action on worse offences committed by the visitors.
Villa face Leicester Fosse (City) for the first time in competitive football, Leicester become the 49th team that the Villa first team has played in League or Cup football and the first new opponent Villa have faced since playing Arsenal 18 games previously.
Villa crush Leicester to progress to the second round of the FA Cup and make it one defeat in eleven games in all competitions.
