Villa suffer defeat in the League for the first time in twelve as they lose to third placed Brighton whilst Bournemouth and Notts County both draw to leave Vic Crowe’s side one point clear at the top with two points in hand over Bournemouth and four clear of their victorious opponents Brighton.
Vic Crowe's Villa lose for only the second time in twenty League games to make it twenty three wins, five draws and seven defeats in 35 division three games so far this campaign. Despite the loss, and not having won in three, Villa remain top of the table (played 35, points 51) and ahead of Bournemouth (played 37, points 50) and their opponents Brighton and Hove Albion (played 35, points 47).
