Andy Lochhead scores his tenth of the season, and sixth in the League Cup, as Villa beat first division Palace in the third round replay at Villa Park. Villa scored twice, had a clear penalty denied and Palace โkeeper John Jackson had to make spectacular saves to keep Vic Croweโs first division side at bay.
Vic Crowe's Villa beat First Division Palace to take their place in the Fourth Round of the League Cup for the second successive season and sixth time in eleven League cup campaigns.
