MATCH SUMMARY

Villa visit promotion rivals and third placed County and hammer their opponents after a goalless first half to leave the one time league leaders in disarray down in fourth, with two games in hand by now six points behind Vic Crowe’s side. Bournemouth remain second, three points behind, courtesy of their home win whilst Brighton climb into the top three, four points off the top. Villa’s new signing Ian Ross proves a revelation in midfield meanwhile Jimmy Cumbes, despite the occasional blunder, has kept nine clean sheets in his fourteen games, conceding just five goals.
