Vic Crowe's Villa make it thirteen wins in fifteen and twenty three wins, three draws and six defeats in division three so far this campaign. Villa (played 32, points 49) now have a game in hand over second placed Bournemouth (played 33, points 48) and third placed Brighton and Hove Albion (played 32, points 45). Meanwhile, centre back Chris Nicholl made his Villa debut aged 25 after moving from Luton Town earlier this week for a fee of ยฃ75,000. Nicholl joined fellow new boys Ian Ross and Jim Cumbes in a new look defence ready for the second division.
