Andy Lochhead’s hat-trick was Villa’s first in 5 and a half years since Tony Hateley’s four goal haul against Spurs at White Hart Lane in March 1966.
Goalkeeper Jim Cumbes made his Villa debut aged 27 after moving from West Bromwich Albion in October 1971 for a fee of £35,000.
