Villa beat Stoke thanks to a last minute winner from Willie Anderson who has now hit three goals in as many games. Villa remain 18th but extend the gap to the relegation places to five points with nine games left to play. For once though it is Villa on the lucky side as they are awarded a generous penalty before a legitimate free kick aided their winner.
