Villa's poor away form hurts them again as they lose to Leicester despite Pongo Waring scoring his 16th goal in twelve.

Villa have dropped 6 points in from the last 8 available away from home and have yet to keep a clean sheet on the road in 1930-31.

For the second game in succession it is the opposition's direct methods and Villa's profligacy in front of goal that costs them.

For Villa however there is some relief as Arsenal are held at home by West Ham and though Billy Smith's men remain second the deficit is only two points.
