Villa had signed Jack from home-town club Port Vale for a fee of £7,000.
Jack had his best goalscoring seasons in 1930-31 and and 1932-33 with 8 goals in 32 and 25 league games respectively, helping Villa finish as runners-up on both occasions.
However, In August 1934, still only 25, Jack moved to Altrincham having played his final game for Villa on 6 January 1934 aged 24.
Jack had played under the Billy Smith led Management Committee.
Jack passed away in Bucknall, Stoke-on-Trent on 18th December 1988 aged 79.
