"It took Lee Sharpe only seven minutes to put United back on level terms - but they were lucky only one goal separated the sides at this point in the game."
*Sunday Mirror*
Sunday, 7 April 1991
Villa produced a spirited but, basic 90 minutes - yet it was almost enough to sink Alex Ferguson's team of expensive talent.
Despite some moments of classy attacking play, United had nothing in their armoury to prevent them slipping behind when Villa's Tony Cascarino screwed his 56th minute header past Les Sealey.
True, it took Lee Sharpe only seven minutes to put United back on level terms - but they were lucky only one goal separated the sides at this point in the game.
