CAPTAIN Stuart Gray scored his first goal of the season to earn Aston Villa an FA Cup replay.
Gray equalised in the 58th minute, registering Villa's first goal against Wimbledon at Villa Park, after Paul McGee had put the visitors ahead in the 40th minute.
Villa had two golden opportunities to snatch the tie in the dying minutes.
In the 85th minute, Dwight Yorke was clean through but had his shot blocked by Wimbledon goalkeeper Hans Segers.
Two minutes later Tony Cascarino shot wide from inside the six yard box after being put through by substitute Nigel Callaghan.
McGee put Wimbledon ahead five minutes before half-time when he ran clear after defender Andy Comyn had slipped.
Gray levelled when he ran through after Chris Price's free kick had been headed down by Cascarino.
