Villa bounce back from a first defeat in nine Premier League games to batter Wimbledon at Villa Park, putting seven past the homeless Dons and exorcise a decade of misery against the long ball side.
Tommy Johnson scores his first goal for the club before going on to hit a first half perfect hat-trick as Villa record their biggest League win since beating Leicester City 8-3 on 21 April 1962.
Villa have now lost just 2 of their last 13 Premier League games under Brian Little having won 5 and drawn 6 to climb to 9th in the table as relegation are looking long gone under the new boss.
Left back Bryan Small, 23, makes his 45th and final appearance in a Villa shirt (39 Starts) before moving on to Bolton Wanderers in March 1996 on a free transfer leaving with a record of W19 D11 L15 and 1 Assist across his 4 seasons with the club.
Tommy Johnson scores a hat-trick in his 6th appearance in a Villa shirt (4 Starts) to make it W4 D0 L2 and 3 goals so far in his Villa career.
Gary Charles contributes his 1st assist in a Villa shirt on his 4th appearance (2 Starts) to make it W3 D0 L1 and 1 Assist so far in his Villa career.
Steve Staunton contributes his 20th assist in a Villa shirt on his 156th appearance (155 Starts) to make it W70 D40 L46, 12 Goals, 20 Assists and 6 Bookings so far in his Villa career.
Shaun Teale contributes his second assist in a Villa shirt to secure his 75th win on his 167th appearance (166 Starts) and makes it W75 D45 L47, 5 Goals, 2 Assists, 18 Bookings and 1 Red Card so far in his Villa career.
Future Villa midfielder Øyvind Leonhardsen lines up for Wimbledon.

TOMMY Johnson switched to his preferred central striking role and scored a first half hat-trick as Aston Villa went goal crazy against Wimbledon at Villa Park.
Johnson, who failed to score in five previous appearances for Villa, broke his duck with a vengeance, his treble coming in just 16 minutes.
Dean Saunders (2) and an Alan Reeves own goal completed the rout all this after Warren Barton had given the shellshocked Dons an early lead.
It was all achieved without former Wimbledon striker John Fashanu who was made a presentation on the pitch by visiting fans before the game to mark his nine years at the club.
There were few early signs of the drama set to unfold as Warren Barton gave Wimbledon an 11th minute lead with a fine volley.
But within 30 seconds Villa equalised when defender Reeves deflected a Saunders shot past goalkeeper Hans Segers.
Johnson broke his Villa duck in the 22nd minute when heading in a right-wing cross from Gary Charles, and four minutes later capitalised on an Qyvind Leonhardsen mistake to make it 3-1.
Johnson effectively ended the contest in the 38th minute when he turned home Shaun Teale’s shot following a Steve Staunton corner.
But Villa did not take their foot off the pedal and Saunders completed the nap hand with a 20- yard rocket in the 48th minute.
Saunders scored his 14th goal of the season from the penalty spot after Segers was adjudged to have brought down lan Taylor in the 67th minute.
Then in the 83rd minute Dwight Yorke clipped the ball past Segers to complete the rout after good play by Johnson and Saunders.
