Not only do Villa lose to their neighbours to fall back to 21st in the table and three points behind 20th, but they do so on a day that represents the shock final game for 24 year old winger Harry Burrows who will shortly move on to Villa's league rivials Stoke.
Dick Taylor's Villa return to League action for their fourth consecutive local derby but lose out to Albion to make it nine wins, two draws and seventeen losses in twenty eight division one matches this season.
Meanwhile, winger Harry Burrows made his final appearance for Villa before moving on to Stoke City in March 1965. Burrows played for Villa between 1959-60 and 1964-65 making 181 appearances and scoring 73 goals.
