Villa follow up their worst of the season with one of their best, although the opposition was less than impressive. You can only beat what is front of you however and Villa return a desperately needed win and two points with two early goals to at least stabilise their position in the league for now.
Eric Houghton's Villa win for the second time in three League games to make it five wins, two draws and nine defeats in sixteen division one games this season.
