A superb strike from Villaโs Savo Miloลกeviฤ threatened to stretch Rovers losing run and his first goal for his new club was worth waiting for: Henning Berg blocked of Dwight Yorke's run and the ball spun to Miloลกeviฤ who struck a left foot curler with pace and accuracy from 20 yards.
If Miloลกeviฤ had taken two other good chances, Blackburn would now already be preparing to remove the title trophy from their cabinet.
