“We are going to face Manchester United on Sunday, and they are now feeling confident, they’re strong at home, they’re playing good football, and they have very good players.
“It’s a really huge challenge on Sunday, but analysing how we are in the table overall, we are fourth with the same points as Manchester United, with 51, and they are third.
“Sunday is day 30, and there are still points to play for, a lot of points to play for. There are still matches to play, and we are so, so motivated in the two competitions we are fighting in.
“The result yesterday was fantastic and gave us confidence, but how we achieved it was important for us because I think we played a good match.
“The level we are going to face on Sunday is a high level.
“Each coach has their personality and their career. Carrick is really performing fantastically.
“The first experience we had against each other was playing in the Champions League, Manchester United against Villarreal five years ago.
“At Middlesbrough, he did a fantastic job, and now he’s done a fantastic job in the matches he’s there. You can see them playing comfortably, playing like they are with good players. Tactically, they have good positioning, and I think Carrick is doing a very good job.
“He has experience, he knows everything there, and they are progressing in the table, getting more points and having more confidence.
“They [our fans] are very important, and they are travelling with us in Europe and in the Premier League.
“It’s very important how we are feeling with them. In Europe, as well, they are motivated and excited, like how they were following us in Lille.
“We need them, clearly, and the players thanked them yesterday, thanked them through the season, and hopefully we will feel them on Sunday.
“He [Lamare Bogarde] has been with us for three and a half years, and we are working with every player. With him being on loan and then coming back, we were doing a lot of individual sessions with him.
“His process is working individually, with the group, having experiences, sometimes being on loan at other teams. This season it’s been a more consistent season for him.
“He achieved the level again yesterday. He played a fantastic match. His versatility is very important, playing as a midfielder or a centre-back or at right-back.
“Each match for him is a challenge, and he played a fantastic match yesterday. On Sunday, in case he will play if Cash is not arriving on time (fit to play) or Andres Garcia, who is in his own process, hopefully we can help him to play like he did in the last match.”

“We played good in the first half, but it wasn’t enough because we controlled sometimes like we planned and we were stopping them as well,” he said.
“We were good defensively, and we didn’t concede a lot. We had one chance through Ollie Watkins, and it was an equal match in the first half.
“In the second half, we were less dominant against the opponent than the first half, they were dominating more, and they scored one goal.
“We reacted fantastic, drawing, and it was the key moment to try again in our game plan or to score a second goal with one chance, like we had with Tammy Abraham.
“We conceded some transitions, and they scored. They got the advantage in the result with their goal, and after it was more difficult for us.
“We tried but conceded some more transitions, and they scored the third goal. We had some chances, but overall it’s a pity how we were competing, performing and how we lost in some moments the control of the game we had.
“Through it, they showed their capacity in transition to get the advantage they did.
There are still matches to play and points to play for; we are still doing a good season.
“We need to react and to recover the structure, like we are working every day to recover it.
“Today we did some things good and now the next challenge is against Lille and then at home against West Ham.
“We need to be together, we need to be working with our supporters, trying to help everybody. We need to work hard like we are doing and try to get good results.
“Today we lost, but we will keep going forward like we did before.”
