Villa play their 11-day delayed FA Cup third round match in conditions that arguably shouldn't have hosted football.
With players eschewing football boots for trainers and Villa 'keeper being knocked out on the frozen surface there was little to commend the decision to go ahead.
That it ended in a draw with another fixture added to the five already needing to be rescheduled just added to the frustration.
Joe Mercer's Villa make it nine unbeaten but are held by third division Bristol City in the FA Cup third round ahead of a replay at Villa Park.
