Billy Dickson

Player #59 for Aston Villa, William Alexander Dickson, known as Billy Dickson, played as a centre forward for the club. Billy represented Villa between 1889-90 and 1891-92.

Billy was born in Crail, Scotland on 27th August 1866 and made his debut as a 23 year old on 14th September 1889.

Villa had signed Billy from Sunderland and he went on to represent the club over three seasons.

Billy’s final game before his move to Stoke City was on 18th April 1892 aged 25.

Billy played under the George Ramsay led Management Committee.

Billy passed away in Stoke on Trent on the 1st June 1910 aged just 43.
