Tiler condemns Forest
CARL Tiler piled on the agony for Nottingham Forest by scoring against his former club and having a hand in the in the build-up to Aston Villa's seventh Premiership win in 11 games.
The Villa central defender drilled home a 20th minute left-footed shot from 15 yards after Dwight Yorke's free-kick had cannoned back off the defensive wall.
Des Lyttle should have levelled matters when Dean Saunders' cross found him unmarked in the six-yard area only for the full-back to completely miskick with the goal at his mercy.
Villa grabbed the decisive second goal in the 65th minute. An Andy Townsend corner was headed back towards by goal by Tiler.
After the ball had bounced in the six yard box, Yorke turned to volley in his sixth goal in the same number of matches.
Forest still continued to pose problems and Woan summed up their day 15 minutes from time when he screwed his shot wide from close range after more good play by Saunders.
