On This Day
Villa, unbeaten in 4, are held by Arsenal to end a run of three successive Premier League wins and fall back to 4th in the table under Brian Little.
Savo Miloลกeviฤ makes his 50th start in a Villa shirt (51 Appearances) to make it W27 D12 L12, 16 Goals, 8 Assists and 5 Bookings at a goal involvement rate of one for every 2.13 games he has played so far in his Villa career.
Former Villa midfielder David Platt lines up for Arsenal, whilst future Villa midfielder Paul Merson pulled a goal back for the Gunners.
What they Said
"l asked the referee if he had lost his watch and pointed to our clock at the ground which showed five minutes overtime.
"He showed me the yellow card and I was very upset because a beautiful game had been spoiled.
"I wasnโt so much concerned that we had lost two points and a two-goal lead but that a game without any trouble had been ruined.
"I don't how he could have added on so much time. But I was told the referee was stopping his watch even when the keepers were running up to take goalkicks. That cannot be right."

Not so happy Villa
Sasa Curcic and lan Taylor will be reported to the Football Association after being booked for protesting about the amount of stoppage time new Premiership referee Michael Riley allowed at Villa Park.
Both were cautioned after the final whistle by the Leeds official.
Villa were incensed at the amount of time added on which enabled Arsenal to snatch a last gasp equaliser from Andy Linighan.
The players now face the possibility of charges of misconduct levelled by the referee who has sent off two players and booked 17 players this season including six yesterday.
Curcic admitted: "l asked the referee if he had lost his watch and pointed to our clock at the ground which showed five minutes overtime.
"He showed me the yellow card and I was very upset because a beautiful game had been spoiled. I was so much concerned that we had lost two points and a two-goal lead but that a game without any trouble had been ruined.
"I don't how he could have added on so much time. But I was told the referee was stopping his watch even when the keepers were running up to take goalkicks. That cannot be right."
Curcic's Serbian countryman Savo Milosevic appeared to have given Villa an unassailable advantage with his first two goals of the season. But Arsenal refused to throw in the towel and Paul Merson pulled a goal back in 70 minutes and after Linighan's last-gasp saver.
