On This Day
Villa take the lead and lose for the second successive game as they concede their fourth goal from 30 yards in two games. Ironically the goal came from a mistake by 'keeper Parsons who replaced Keith Jones after he conceded six last time out.
It is Villa's first home defeat of the season and third successive defeat overall.
The win though is totally unmerited coming completely against the context of the match but Villa have now conceded twelve in three games making claims of bad luck look more than a little foolish.
Villa make it seven wins and six defeats in thirteen division one games so far this season, as their promising early form under the new boss apparently becomes a distant memory.
Villa drop to 9th in the First Division table.
